Congratulations on a great season! Check the Records page for this year's letter winners.
Judo is a tough sport and not many people can handle a full season. You may see a full team picture in the yearbook (which was taken before the start of the season), but only a few were able to handle the grappling, throwing, and conditioning to finish the team season.

If you want to continue judo or get a head start for next year, join a club. Castle, Kailua, or MCBH are the nearest judo clubs that have practices year round.

Judo is a sport originally adapted from Jujitsu. Judo and wrestling are the best high school sports available to improve strength, balance, agility, decision making, and body knowledge.. Increased skills in these areas help athletes excel in other sports, especially contact sports like football and soccer. By joining your high school judo team, you will learn grappling and throwing (take down) techniques. Kalaheo competes in the OIA against other high schools and students can earn a varsity letter for participating in the sport.

A physical form and parent consent form must be completed and signed before you start practicing. Judo Gi (uniform) costs approx. $50 and can be purchased from the coaches or on your own.
